We had a fabulous week. Monday we had our Valentine’s party with Valentine cookies, red heart helium balloons, two strawberry heart cakes made by Bryce’s mom, and lots of cards and candy goodies to exchange. Thanks to all the parents for helping your child bring Valentines to exchange. They had such a great time.

On Thursday’s math day we worked on number recognition specifically the number “6 “. Some of our group are able to identify all of the numbers. If I could please solicit the help of all the toddler parents at home to assist with number recognition it would be greatly appreciated ... good review for those that already know and needed help for those who aren’t quite there yet.

We’ve been working last week and this week on a food pyramid collage that will be great to use at home as a placemat once I laminate it. So you’ll get to see how we used all the food wrappers and boxes you provided this past fall. The children have had a lot of fun learning about the different food groups and are actually quite good at remembering what food goes in what group. We learned the group names as Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple instead of Protein, Dairy, Carbohydrate, etc. which I thought was too advanced for this age group.

Wednesday is show and tell day for letters “P”, “Q” and “R”. Please help your child bring an item that begins with one of these letters. These guys really get excited to bring something of their very own to show.

Have a blessed weekend.
