Greetings to you Moms & Dads. I hope this email finds you blessed and favored by God.

I was visited for my annual state inspection by Texas Licensing on Thursday and passed again with no violations. This was a bit of a surprise for me because I anticipated an August visit. But all was in order. Six years of no discrepancies. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! These records can always be viewed on the TDPRS website if you are interested.

Delightful progress in the infant area. Our newest little one, Ava, was with us again on Friday and begins full time Monday, June 30th. She is just the cutest little thing. Very alert of who’s holding her but of course no interaction with the others yet. Gavin is quite accomplished sitting on his own and loves the colored shaker bottles. He gets lots of tummy time with Ms Sandra working with him to encourage crawling movement. Little Ms Sloane is making her way everywhere … kind of an army crawl and certainly moving all over the room. If she’s upset, something is wrong because she is mostly such a happy girl. Bryce is taking 5 & 6 steps on his own and goes back and forth between the infant room and toddler room. Seems like his first year has flown by as he will have his one year birthday in early July.

Davis is walking around furniture and at the fireplace hearth standing on his own with help. Sandra and I work with him daily hoping for him to start taking steps. Very soon for him. There seems to be a nasty stomach virus going around. Symptoms are sour stools, sometimes vomiting, low grade fever. Cooper was out two days with it at the end of the week while Aaron was out two days with it at the beginning of the week. So if your normally happy child is showing signs of being testy ……. It may be his tummy is hurting.

Tuesday and Friday we enjoyed our water play. Jett has his opinion of the water and doesn’t mind the sprinkled water in his face anymore. Preston & Carter are the epitome of river rats loving as much water as can be sprayed on them. Everyone loves the water.

This week the toddlers have been working at the craft table tearing paper, crunching paper, folding paper, etc. This is a fun activity and generates much interest. Little guys just love to tear paper and the enthusiasm promotes many teachable moments. We also played putting small objects in small holes. These are small motor developmental skills which are most helpful as they become more and more independent in the crafts we do. We will work on these small motor skills throughout the summer in preparation for our new curriculum work starting in September.

Blessings to all.
