Christmas greetings to all my daycare friends,
What a wonderful year 2010 has been. I have to praise God for the many ways He has blessed me in relationship with you parents and in caring for your children each and every day. Although the look of our group has changed a bit as some have moved on to full centers and/or some have had to leave due to a parent losing a job, God has been constantly faithful bringing the loveliest new children to continue blessing Sandra and me. Today we lose one more, Preston, as he moves on to a center full of children his age. I know he will flourish in his new environment but we will miss him indeed.
This month we have learned about the letters J,K &L, the number 4, the color blue and the rectangle shape. We have concentrated on the miracle of Christmas … the birth of our Lord Jesus. We have had fun singing Christmas carols, working on Christmas pages, viewing Christmas movies, hearing Christmas stories, and long talks about Jesus and who He is. It’s been a lot of fun. I always enjoy Christmas with the children as it gives me just another opportunity to share my love for Jesus with these little ones.
We have a new little one joining us mid January. Her name is Kinley and she will be three months old when she begins with us.
I will be here Monday and Tuesday of next week only and leaving on vacation on Wednesday. I pray everyone has a blessed holiday and experiences the joy of Jesus and the spirit of His birth and rebirth in our hearts. I love each one of you. Merry Christ and Happy New Year.
