On Tuesday we had a ball with our science study of stretching our senses and talked about germs being everywhere. We took a nature walk in the back yard collecting nature items in plastic bags. We then laid on a quilt under the tree to examine the leaves in the trees, clouds, birds flying in the air and all the beautiful things we could see from that perspective. After our nature hunt, we went back inside to examine our discoveries under the magnified specimen viewers. So many things God created in our beautiful world and so much fun to see them magnified like that. On Wednesday we studied the letter “C” and practiced our printing skills. We are making great progress following the curved lines across the paper. We watched the Early Reading DVD as Ms. Sandra echoes the words in Spanish. Ms. Karen is learning, also. On Thursday we started learning to count in Spanish and worked on our craft for our book of the month. On Friday we reviewed our expression cards and talked about our many moods. Then we made mirrors and practiced making the many expressions we saw on the expression cards. What a fun time we had.

Joshua is sitting alone for long periods of time now. He and Samantha are so cute together and are going to be great play buddies. I wish I had more to report on Walker and Zachary … only they are both just happy to be here and are happy almost all the time. We have a great group of children and I am so blessed to have each and every one of them in my care.

As a reminder, I will be on vacation all next week. (Going to Cabo San Lucas!!!) In my absence Ms Cassima will lead the toddlers in a planned week of study and fun and assist Ms Sandra with the infants. Ms. Cassima will be here to open every day at 7:00 AM and close everyday at 6:00 PM. All of the children are well acquainted with and fond of Ms Cassima so I anticipate a great week while I’m away. Cassima will make my bank deposit on Monday evening so I ask everyone to please bring your check for weekly fee on Monday morning.

Have a blessed week and I’ll see everyone week after next.
