This was certainly a fun week and our last week of summer frolic before our 2008-2009 developmental schedule begins on Tuesday. We played with blocks, puzzles, balls, & books. Ms Cassima worked for me on Monday and Tuesday while Ms Sandra escorted her son to his first day of school on Monday morning and Ms Karen finished up her annual doctor appointments on Monday afternoon & Tuesday. Friday was our last water day for this year with Davis joining us in the water for the first time … he loved it.

We sadly said good-bye to Nash & Jacob (our summer part timers) this week. Landon, our newest enrollee, is 100% adjusted and loves his new friends and Ms Karen and Ms Sandra. Emily, my granddaughter, will no longer be with us as she is off to big girl school in Blanton’s pre-kindergarten program. And on Tuesday, September 2nd we will welcome our 12th and final little one Ms Emma Fischer who is two months old and will join Ava and Sloane in the infant room. Nine toddler boys (Landon, Carter, Preston, Jett, Aaron, Xander, Davis, Cooper, Bryce) and three infant girls (Sloane, Ava, Emma) is our mix this 2008-2009 year.

The children are going to love the new and exciting activities I have planned for them this year. Throughout the year we will focus on language development, coordination, and number association in many, many different ways and all in a fun and playful mode of learning and development.

Have a great holiday weekend.
