What a fabulous 2007 – 2008 school year we have had which completes my sixth year of registered and now licensed home daycare.

Our infant care is lovingly led by my assistant Ms Sandra. This Godly woman has a nurturing heart for children and delights at every level of their achieved development. What a blessing she has been to the children, to the program and to me. We all love Ms Sandra.

I have a lot of fun leading our toddler program. This year’s studies were based on a combination of Frog Street Press and Early Start Curriculum with a healthy seasoning of Bible and verse study from Hubbard’s Cupboard. The majority of toddlers this year have been very young ages so our center of attention has been on parallel play, process of activities and vocabulary development. Monthly focus topics have included “Jesus – God’s Only Begotten Son”, “Good Manners”, “Turkey Gobblers”, “Happy & Healthy”, “School & Me”, “On The Farm”, “Creepy Crawlers”, “My Country”, “Going For A Ride”, “Kitchen Capers”, “My 5 Senses” and so many more.

Our summer will be filled with informal lessons that reinforce previous literacy studies, developmental activities, games and lots of water play. Plans are already underway for an amazing 2008 – 2009 school year with the introduction of the complete Abekka curriculum in the area of numbers, arts/crafts and religion, a continuation of Frog Street’s alphabet studies and lots of tremendous new ideas for active play. I’m very excited…
